Fall Essentials: Army Jacket, Nordstrom vs. F21

 I've wanted a basic, olive-toned, drawstring detailed, light military jacket for awhile now. 

I mean come on it's soooo perfect for fall: warm enough to keep you from those brisk fall breezes but light enough so you're not sweating if the temperature happens to spike up above 70 degrees (which in Georgia, believe it or not, it happens a lot. Actually, we're pretty lucky if the temperature ever drops below 70 in the fall months).

Anyway...

While shopping around I found a variety of olive green military options (seriously everybody and their mom is doing this trend). There's a rather large price range, so I decided to compare some high end options from Nordstrom with their budget friendly counterparts from our friends at Forever 21.

Fall Essentials: Lace Up Booties

So my roommate just bought these:

And I'm currently obsessing over them. She told me how incredibly comfortable they are (I think her words were, "Seriously I could run a mile in these") which got me thinking:

Hmmm.... I could use a new pair of fall boots, and I don't have any wedge booties (actually I don't think I own any booties period), 

AND I'm going on a trip to Chicago with my college, where we will be touring advertising agencies, where I'll need to look professional, but be able to walk great lengths,
